Reaching out and nobody reaching back

I don't reach out to friends with my problems often. I only have a couple close friends. So when I do reach out, and they're not there for me, it stings. They are busy, I catch them at a bad time, or I don't make it clear I'm in need right now so its not like they're bad friends. It's just one of those times when I feel alone and sad and then nobody is around so those feelings start to look like reality. I'm just having a run of bad luck and I'm not handling it well. The abyss is trying to get me.

What is it that you were trying to reach out for help about?

Are you getting ready to start your period? I get like that about that time.

Just to chat about life, to complain about work

I wouldn't know. Probably. I'm in early menopause, so I get to guess when aunt flo is going to decide when to show up.

I know, it stinks to feel lonely.

Maybe try reaching out again and say, hey, I know you're busy but I could really use a visit, so let me know if we could get together and chat soon.

Yes, it does. Maybe I'll get some cats. Like 15 of them.

I'm sorry.
Be specific when you reach out. Say you are having a rough time and need support. Use those words. We all get busy and brush people off, but being direct will get their attention.
Have you ever called a warmline? Google it, they can help.
