If you are a direct admit to a pysch hospital, and you do not go. Do they send the police are call you are what?

Okay if you go to your doctor office and tell him you are suicidal and he tells you to go to the mental floor at the hospital and be admitted. If you leave the office and dont go to the mental floor What can that doctor do?

Yes, they likely would. Maybe they'd call first, maybe not.

It would likely also initiate the involuntary detention process.

Ok. You are asking, I believe, if (you) someone has been told to submit to a psych hospital, but you don't show up, are the Police called to retrieve you? Am I correct in the question?

Yes I couldn't think how to word it.

I don't know. That's a tough one. Depends on the doctor. I would think that if they really though you were a problem they would have detained you and escorted you to the psych ward.

I don't know if they'd call the police, but they'll definitely contact CPS to come and take your kids.

Yes they can. Depends on how far the doctor wants to take it. They will do a well check, but I don't think they can drag you there.
