Blogged here

I recently completed this embroidery project. It was a kit I bought at Michael's a few years ago but never got around to finishing it.  Now that it's finally done I want to display it!

The first pic is what it looks like now.  The other two are photoshopped with trim from photos I found online.  What do you ladies think?  Should I leave it as is or try to do something more with it like in the other examples?

Thanks!

I don't like the frilly grandma addition. I like it clean and simple just the way you have it.

I would buy a really nice decorative pillow and sew that on the front! Very pretty!

Mount it on acid-free cardstock and frame it behind glass. It will keep the thread colors from fading AND it will be dust-free.

It's nice all 3 ways...

#2 and #3 look more finished to me, but they also sorta scream 1982 to me...

I'd go with #1 or #3, depending on which matches your decor best.

I feel like this was the most unhelpful answer ever.

I like the 3d one best but it does give it a vintage vibe.

lace always looks nice if you want to add anything around it.  Looks great! I love butterflies

I'm leaning towards something like No. 3.  No. 2 looks a little too fussy with the lace edging.  Also No. 3 seems to have more dimension to it if that makes sense. :)

I like some kind of frame for it. You don't normally leave a project in the embroidery hoop. That tends to unevenly stretch it out.
