Take them to school on your day off or make them take the bus anyway?

I have the day off today since I have to take my dad to an appt. later on.  My dau asked me to take her school so she wouldn't have to take the bus.  She's never had issues on the bus, it's just she'd rather get a ride.  The school isn't that far, so it's really not that big a deal.  There's just some mornings I don't always feel like it.

If you are ever in that situation do you take them, or still have them ride the bus?

Hey at least you have the option, my dd's school doesn't have a bus and it's 20 mins each way.

That would suck if we didn't have the bus.  I'd be late to work every day if I had to take her.  It's too far to walk.

I had the day off yesterday so that I could go to both my boys' parties at school. I drove them both. It's such a rare thing for me to be off from work other than for an actual vacation, so I don't mind. It's like a special treat for them to get to have mommy drive them to school instead of riding the bus.

Take my kid. She obvisiously wants time with you.

Hell no! My kids would be getting their asses on the bus. They aren't A List celebrities or royalty. Their butts don't need to be chauffeured to school. It's a waste of time and resources.
