At this point, how can you self identify as liberal or conservative giving how atrociously BOTH groups are acting?

LOL

I agree!

Charlie Daniels has a really good essay on cns news ( I know, I know!) that is about the most unbiased and thoughtful account of both sides I've seen in years.  I wouldn't normally recommend reading anything from that site, but this one is worth it.

The behavior on both sides is the root cause of the divide in the country.  More so than the behavior of politicians and criminals.

And it's going to be what ruins this country.

I've been asking this question too. I'm glad I don't cater to either. The left wing and the right wing are still on the same bird.

I am a liberal democrat. I support their views and policies. That doesn't mean I have to support their actions.

Because political affiliation doesn't define a persons behavior.

Why would a sane person choose to affiliate with a group if that group's actions offended them?

If you're still identifying as a liberal democrat you ARE supporting their actions by default.
