I'm going to let dh know I want no visitors after our son is born. This is our last baby. I will be alone during labor (my choice), dh and our kids will come later to visit. My parents, dh mom and siblings will see the baby when we bring him home. This is #4 so I would LOVE those 24 hrs ALONE! Would this bother you?

Why isnt your husband able to be there? It's his baby too. I also feel that siblings should be able to visit after you have your son.

I won't leave the husband out. It's his child too and he has a right to be there and watch the child born and make sure his wife is fine.

I would never want or tell dh that he couldn't be there for the birth of his own child.

I understand wanting no visitors for 24 hours. But I would want my husband there during the birth. It's his child too. Why do you not want your husband there?

When my DD was born, i had a c section and passed out afterwards because of the air going into my body put too much strain on me.
I woke up 3 hrs later.
I didnt get to see her much that day, they wanted me to rest (i have a heart condition).
The next day she was able to be in the room with me..she had only gotten into the room when my family walked in and started wanting to hold her (like grabbing her from my arms).
I was not impressed at all.

I would have loved that time alone with her.
They could have visited me when we got home with her.
