Spiders in space. This is real.

Who knew they sent a spider to space? In 2012. This is so neat.

They sent a Redbacked jumping spider to space! How cool is that?

I was looking them up because on took up residence in my master bath. I'd never seen a red and black one. His name is Albert.

I don't think I've ever seen a black and red spider.

Yes, they have done it with many living things to study the effects of space. Because of their shorter lifespans, it is easier to get an idea of long-term effects of living in space. I didn't read the article, but I believe this was part of a classrooms science experiment, they let kids send their projects to space.

It's all fun and games (and scientific research) until some get loose, mutate and try to invade Earth. I've seen horror/scifi movies. I know how these things start.
