If a 13 year old boy just ran up to your 6 year old autistic son and punched him in the face?

I'd be absolutely pissed. It would take everything I could not to swing at that kid. He's a teen, not a 3 yr old.

Run after him.

I'd accidentally tackle the asshole. You know, I'm really clumsy and OOPS.

To be honest, I think it'd be reactionary to hit or push him back.

I would report it to the police, especially because it was unprovoked and assualt. The kid should be accountable for causing harm to another person and he should pay a price both financially as well as community service

Is there more to the story? That would seem really odd. I would be pissed

My reaction would be the same whether my 6-year old was autistic or not. I'd put the fear of great bodily harm into the teen.

It would depend entirely on what reason he did it and how badly hurt my child was. My reaction might be to scold the kid, or it might be to make a police report and press charges.
