So yes we have a lot of pets he knew that I loved animals before we married.

Today I adopted a pug puppy. He's mad because we have

7 cats
3 hamsters
4 rabbits
5 dogs (a miniature pincher, a border collie, 2 golden retrievers, and a St. Bernard)
1 guinea pig
2 turtles
1 parrot
3 rats
1 turantula
1 pot bellied pig
And
2 doves

I just brought home this pug and he flipped and demanded I take it back I said no and he left.

I love animals too. I would love to buy a huge piece of land and have a bunch of dogs. However I would never get an animal without talking to dh first.

Why do you need so many damn animals? Can you afford them all? Is your house dirty? We have no pets at all and I like it that way. Even a typical pet lover might not be able to handle the zoo you're building.

Well in my defense, he brought in 2 of the cats without asking, and the parrot too.

I imagine he helps to pay for the food and medical costs relating to those animals, so it is something you should have discussed with him first even though he isnt involved in their actual care.

Oh shit, ya... Once I took a picture of a cat, in our house. Sent it to DH. Saying, look what I got!!

No joke, he wrote back. That he would not be home until the cat was gone. He was serious.
