Sharing a tent with strangers

I'm going to a gathering in another state and we have the option to camp in a tent or get a bunk in a cabin. The tent is quite a bit cheaper so that's what I'm doing. I'm going alone or maybe with my 11 yo dd and since our tent is an 8 person tent (family tent), my husband told me I should put a notice out on FB that if anyone attending wanted to share my tent to get a cheaper rate they could.

Made me think of the women on here and whether or not you would do such a thing? Would your DHs be comfortable with it or even encourage it as mine is?

Nope, he won't let me go camping alone especially with our dd.

If a cabin had a toilet I'd be in the cabin.

There is a main hall that has showers and toilets for me. But, yes, the cabins have toilets.

I wouldn't share a tent with strangers. I like my privacy and it's hard to trust people you don't know. I'd pay for my own tent.

I shared a tent with friends of hubby's, I had NEVER met them.  I woke up the next morning, his friend was completely NAKED.    NEVER again...

No way. That's just strange.

Why are you camping with strangers instead of your friends or family?
