I've got a cat, female spayed about 7 years old, who will go into a room where no one is and make these weird meow sounds.

Some of meows are her normal pet me/fed me meow, some are more higher pitched and some are lower pitched.

She only does it when she's alone in a room and even then it's not every time.

If I call her name she always stops and sometimes she will come to me.

Any clue why she's doing it? My other kitties don't do that, just her.

She may be smelling prey or asking for someone to follow her

She's looking for you. My car does this.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know she's looking for you.

You may want to get that checked out.

I love the typo! I can just picture my car looking for me :)

I wondered if that's what she was doing.

Several years ago we moved into a huge house and she would do that every night, but it was because she was lost. I'd call her name until she found me and then she would be happy. We've since moved to a much smaller house and she still does that same meow

I hate autocorrect. Lol. It always corrects cat to car.
