Smacking/ squeezing your kid's butt

At what age is this inappropriate?

My daughter is in dance with a little girl who's mother is constantly slapping and squeezing her kid's butts. She even makes weird comments like "booty smack attack" or "them cheeks!"

The girls are 4/5 years old, which I thought was odd enough, but yesterday I saw her at my sons baseball game behaving the same with her teenager. I said something to a mom near me and she acted like I was being too harsh

Is it just me, or is that creepy and wrong?

ETA: I think i find it disturbing because it's MORE than just a little pinch or pat. She "squeezes" their butts
Also, the way she announces it, or calls attention to her kids private parts. When her 5yo daughters are in a leotard she shouts "cheeks!" And draws everyone's attention to her girls butts.
The way she screams about their "booties" and "asses" seems inappropriate no matter the age of who she's talking about
Grabbing and pinching her teenage sons ass at his baseball game is just demeaning!

If I'm being totally honest with you, I may be a little judgmental of this woman in general. She dresses, acts, and SMELLS tacky, so perhaps I'm overly harsh about her, but I still find this behavior really creeptastic

To each their own. If I did that to my boys as teens, they would have been mortified.

I think it's weird. I would silently judge too.

Who cares.

I still smack my adults kids asses, it's just something I've done since they were little. Of course now they enjoy the smack back, but what's not appropriate to you doesn't mean it is for other families.

I don't think it's creepy.

It's as inappropriate as you make it.

I like to grab dd8's butt, but I, too, am questioning myself. I should stop.
