Have you ever contacted your state representative?

Yesterday I emailed ours because we live on a state road and it hasn't been paved in at least a decade. Our representative has an office only 20 minutes from our house. So I figured rather than us grumbling every time we drive on it because of our potholes that I'd contact someone who actually might be able to do something about it. I had nothing to lose and who knows? She's actually the reason we got high speed Internet years ago lol We live in a small area it's actually a village. She called me back and let a voicemail and said that I'd likely be hearing from her assistant in the near future. Pretty cool. I'm including my voicemail transcript for those who say pics or it didn't happen. Lol

Yep.  I have contacted my Senator and Congressman's offices every day since January 21st.  It's now part of my morning routine.  Feed the cats, get my coffee, turn on the news, light a cigarette and go down my call & email list.   Takes 5 minutes tops to do.
