Does anyone know how to fix an AC?

My landlord refuses, and I can't afford a repairman for several weeks. I don't have a clue how to fix it and it's so hot in the house my severely asthmatic daughter is having repeated attacks. (Heat seats her off for some reason)

Pay someone to fix it and deduct it from your rent since the landlord refuses.

And also...look for a new place to live.

I'm looking for another place to live. And I just said I can't afford a repairman. I just paid off all my bills and it's going to be a few weeks. We can't wait that long. My daughter is getting worse.

Call the city's housing authority that deals with landlord/tenant issues and tell them that your daughter is asthmatic.  That should light a fire under your landlord's ass.

Beggars can't be chosers. AC is a luxury, not a need.

Purchase a window unit.

I have no idea. Look on YouTube for "homemade air conditioning". There's a way to make one out of a cheap Styrofoam cooler, ice, and a fan. It might get you through. Also, call the health department, as well as HUD on your jerk of a landlord.
