Maybe for a while. I can't see them working long term.

Yes, but you have to know going into it that that is what it is. And you need to have the best communication skills, and be completely and utterly open in every step you make. It is not easy, but it can work.

I have yet to hear about one that didn't end ugly.

Communication is most important. My ex claimed to want this but all it did was open the door to lots of lies. I pretty much gave him a free pass and he acted like a fool and made me look like a fool.
