Child custody and child support

If there's an open child custody case, does child support enforcement stop taking payment from the other parent until a decision is made?
I haven't been able to get through due to high call volume.

No. Custody and support have nothing to do with the other. If custody changes enough that it is going to change support then a modification must be requested from either parties after the custody order is in place.

No. A just has to order any changes to the CS amount. At least that's how it is where I live. Even when two parties agree, it has to go to a court date and in front of the judge to approve it. Went through that myself.

Then again, if custody changes, that might be a different situation. Definitely time to see a lawyer.
