Ds goes to a school where they train therapy dogs 4 hours out of the day. It's awesome!

A cousin did that, even went to college at one like that.  Turned out it was  uselss for a lot of years for her as she didn't truly learn how to function in society, but wanted to remain a 'free spirit' like she'd been in school.  Shrug.  Eventually she figured it out.  Now she's a teacher.  I wouldn't let her teach my kids though!

A friends child attends a nature school too.  She's doing really well but this school also focuses on academics. It's not a montessori school but the set up for the students seems to be similar (not the same).  She's in HS at this school and my friend and her DD love it.  She's had some absolutely amazing experiences while also testing very well.  She'll be fine in college, she's also taking a course or two at their local community college and doing well.

For some this works well, for others it doesn't really.

Are you in Germany? I've heard that they had something like this over there, but I think it was for kindergarteners

My daughter went to a Waldorf school that had a lot of classes outside and incorporated nature into a lot of the curriculum. I'm sad we had to move.

I LOVE nature schools, I wish the US would get more onboard with them

I love the idea of a nature school. I wanted to put my daughter in one this year for preschool but it's $665/month for three hours, three days a week. Yeah, no.

Classroom setting is primarily outside. The curriculum is very nature based.

It's full time school?

Do they follow any sort of regular curricular like math and such?

Will they eventually go to a traditional school?
