Hey ladies, in dire need of tips and advice. My son is 3, and I want to start going out to resteraunts to eat occasionally. After about 20 or so minutes, he gets fidgety, and starts throwing tantrums, i always end up having to leave before the food comes. Any advice?

Why do you allow him to throw tantrums?

Parent and discipline him when he throws a tantrum? He will never learn if he just gets exactly what he wants when he throws a tantrum. Are you alone when you take him out?

How do you discipline him for the tantrums? I'm just curious.

Bring small toys or crayons and paper and some snacks.

Yes. A, don't take him to restaurants, and B, don't allow him to throw tantrums.

Bring things for him to ski so he isn't bored. Make sure he's not too hungry or tired.

I do not "allow" him to throw tantrums. He throws tantrums, I tell him not to do that. If he cries, I demand he stop. I let him know if he doesnt behave he cant play with this or this, or no park time, stuff like that, it doesnt work.

At 3 years old he shouldn't be throwing tantrums. I have a 2 year old and we take her to restaurants. She colors or waits for the food.
