Surviving on $60,000 a year????

DH has busted his butt trying to make his business work....but for the past 4 years sales have been steadily declining for a variety of reasons. He has worked 7 days a week for over 2 years. I got a PT job to help. Our savings has dwindled away to very little. Well, DH was offered a job at $44,500 a year with full benefits. It's a regular 40 hour a week job, too. My PT job brings in $17,000 a year. We own our cars cash, have no debt, and our mortgage is about $12,000 a year. Back in the day, we pulled in well over $125,000 a year.

Anyway, can a family of 4 survive on 63,000 a year? This is all new, and scary.

We survive on less than that and do just fine.

Yes with daycare assistance. Without daycare assistance it would be tough.

We are a family of 5 and survive on less. I think you can manage.

Where do you live? Yes I think you can live fine on that with a 1k a month mortgage. Just cut back. Forgot to ask about how many kids and if you do daycare or tuition.

Our family of four survived on $42,000. You are going to have to make changes. Try a lower COL area.

You may have to downsize but you can live comfortably.

No problem here. That's upper middle class in this area.

Depends, where you live. How much are you willing to tighten the belt? Such as eating out less, random shopping, etc. extracurricular activities.
