Did you leave him or her, for some "me time?

I have a friend who posted on FB how she is so happy to have a night away from her baby finally. The baby is 3 weeks old!

It was months for me. For my daughter, her son was 18 months.

I went on a 10 day cruise when my son was 3 months and before that he spent the night at my mom's at 2 weeks old. Guess I'm a shitty mom

Well I was alone at work, so I guess it was "me time". I had my ds before noon and was back to work around 2 am.

DS was 8 months old and it was just lunch and a movie that I went to.

We went out for dinner when our baby was two weeks old
A quick dinner before my mother went back home
She encouraged a breather.
I went back to work when each kid was two months old

There is no wrong or right. I'm just curious. I probably didn't do my kids a favor by not taking a break.

Months if at all.

If a mama gets away, yay for her!

Best advice I ever got...at 6 weeks you leave the baby with a sitter and go out on a date.  Sitter puts the baby in the crib for the first time.  Did that with both.

There's actually no award for who loves their kids most, so silly little competitions like who waited the longest to go out without the baby are meaningless.

Don't text while driving.

About 3 weeks.  And went back to work full time (after the first 2) at 6 weeks.
