When people tell you to "remind me" ....

EXAMPLE

You invite all of the kids in your son's class to his birthday party.

You have a number to RSVP.

You run into one of the moms.

She says, "Well probably be there! Remind me though!"

I don't do that because I find it highly annoying. It's like saying, "I might be there but I kind of don't really want to go so if you "remind me" I will have a harder time saying no. So just "remind me" so that I will look like a forgetful person instead of an asshole."

I have a friend who does this all the time. I used to remind her. I stopped. She stopped coming to things. I stopped inviting her. Now I invite people I don't have to "remind".

Oh my goodness, that's a little crazy

No, I don't do that. If I'm out with my husband I might ask him to remind me to do something when we get home

I don't and I won't remind someone. I won't even remind my husband to do something unless if I feel it falls into the "you're a big boy now category".

I have to write things down immediately on my phone. I don't expect anyone to remind me but don't worry, my mom will anyway. LOL. Someone would have to remind me to remind them! Haha.

I'm that person. LOL!!! People close to me understand.

In my defense, I never do it to people I don't really know like that. The rule only applies for family and friends of 15+ years. Lol.

I'm not their secretary. I send out invites with a date to RSVP by, they can RSVP or I do not prepare for them to come.

No I don't do that, I'm an adult, if I need reminding I will set a reminder in my phone myself.
