Alcohol at a kid's birthday party

Yay or nay?

Maybe this is just a cultural thing. Maybe it's just my family. When I was a kid there was ALWAYS beer at kid's birthday parties. No alcoholics, just a cooler full of beer next to the cooler full of soda. The beer was always within our reach but we knew not to drink it. The adults would bbq or talk while drinking one or two. The parties went on for hours, so by the time they drove home, everyone was sober.

What do you think?

Tacky Tacky Tacky! Alcohol has no business being served at a party meant for children. Yall sound like a bunch of disgusting drunks.

We always had a cooler of beer at get togethers regardless of the reason for the get together when I was a kid. We have continued that tradition as adults.

Thats how I grew up too. Even Chuck E Cheese serves beer. I see nothing wrong with it as long as its not out of control drinking.

Nobody got drunk means nothing in the end because you can't control someone getting drunk they decide on their own.

That's not a kid party.

It's a family event, with children and adults.
