Me and DH both work.
I brought up the topic of a housekeeper to him and i was given a name by a good friend. She charges $30 an hour.
DH thinks that its too much but i dont.
Is it to much?

Yes. My housekeeper charges a flat rate.

We've never had a housekeeper but that seems like a lot. $20 per hour seems more normal I think

I wouldn't pay someone $30 an hour to clean my house because I can do it for free, but it might not be too much for others. It just depends on how much you make and your other expenses and what you value. Around here, that would be a lot per hour, but I know it's not in other places.

That's cheap. You have to take in to consideration their time, gas to get to you plus cost of keeping supplies stocked up.

Not if you can afford it.

Does your DH help you clean the house?

No that's super cheap, tbh.

Way to much and a bit ridiculous you can't take care of your own home, imo.

I've never priced one but I imagine it would depend on how much she can do in an hour and if her cleaning is up to your standards.  Also it would depend on how much you would need her to work.  If he doens't think it's worth it, see if you can get him to compromise - maybe have her there less time that you originally planned.

Depends how dirty your house is. If it's going to take her hours to clean it, I'd look for someone cheaper. Where I was raised housekeepers would generally charge less than minimum wage. They charge more where I live now but $30 sounds excessive.
