Make up recommendations for SD?

She's turning 13 in December. There have been a few instances where she's taken my makeup without asking. I was thinking I did get her her own gift basket of girly stuff. She comes home from her mom's Sunday. What brand would you recommend? I don't think she needs foundation or a lot of stuff. Just something simple and age appropriate. If she wants to wear it i'd rather her learn the right way instead of sneaking and looking like a clown 😆

For someone that young I'd just do the ULTA store brand stuff. With a coupon you could get tons for cheap.

My girls just get the basics from walmart or Walgreens. Covergirl, elf, etc.

Not a clue. DD is almost 14 and doesn't wear any. I'd probably take her to Sephora and let them make recommendations. I rarely wear makeup and stick to Bare Minerals and Almay (sensitive skin...sigh).

take her to the mall where they do this for a living-they can help her pick out the right cosmetics

I allow it at 6th grade. Age 11. I buy primer, bronzer, highlighter, neutral eye shadow, eye liner, mascara.
She looks nice and presentable.
I monitor all use.
ELF is a good brand for that age.

Elf is very reasonable and a good choice for people just getting into makeup...

Too faced has some very cutesy products a teenager would like.
