A defining moment for you.
A moment where you did (or didn't do) something because you knew you wouldn't like the person you would be after.

Lol... Well, what had happened was...
Before I had kids I sold A LOT if weed. Pounds a week. I went to a local fair. I had 8 oz on me. Some guy who was pretty fucking jig tried to rob me. We knew each other. He grabbed me, held a knife to me. I pulled a 9 mm. Got cut on my arm badly. I CHOSE not to shoot him. I truly could have thrown that weed, shot his ass below the belt and got away Scot free. I didn't shoot him. He two years later saved my life. I had three ounces of cocaine I was selling. The guy buying pulled a gun on me trying to rob me (I'm petite and people fucked with me( thinking I wasn't real )
That dude I didn't kill, shot him in the arm.
To this day I love that guy.

My husband pissed me off and I ripped up a poem he wrote about our first pregnancy. I also ignored his calls and he missed the ultrasound that I found out about what gender we were having.

I have stopped myself from telling my husband that I have never been fooled by his manipulative behavior, and I just do what he wants to get him to shut the fuck up.

I lost my daughter.  I don't sweat the small stuff.  Petty arguments with my husband or kids are useless.
