Does your family come and eat when a meal is ready?

My DH does not. It's been almost 10 years and I should be used to it by now I guess but I'm annoyed daily. Yes, I've told him, he usually gets better for a week or 2 but then goes back. I even have it ready around the same time daily, he still acts like its a surprise and shows up 20m or so later. Anyone else?

The smell of food causes annoying kitchen hovering.

We are big eaters.

I say dinner is ready and everyone comes running, sometimes literally. No one has to be told twice here.

Nope . My boys are grown , when the were growing up we sat down to dinner together as many nights as possible.i usually give a 5/10 minutes heads up. I would flip if my husband did what your does. I think it's rude and disrespectful.

For the most part....If my son is outside I let him play and put the food aside.
