So yesterday we took the kids to the beach and then to an overview park that has picnic areas and nature trails.
My 11 year old DD picked up other peoples trash at both places.
She asked me why people had to be so gross. She said people who just throw their trash at pretty places should be ashamed. I have to say I agree.
Do you litter? Do you pick up trash left on the ground if you see it?

We did a scout cleanup one year. I used to have sympathy for smokers and believed they should be allowed to smoke at parks. I now believe they should be allowed to smoke nowhere. Ds picked up mostly butts and had a lot to say about it. Seriously if you can't walk ten feet to a trash can you shouldn't be smoking.

Please be sure your daughter wears gloves to protect her hands from anything sharp like hypodermic needles.

I won't allow her to pick up any bio hazardous waste. Just typical trash.

I am a busy working mom to two very active girls.  I love my kids, play on the floor in the fort with them, take them to the park, and love them always!  I can't imagine life without them!
