Is it wrong for me to tell my realtor "no poor neighborhoods"?

Just buy an expensive home. This is not difficult.

Yes. Instead educate yourself and give him a list of neighborhoods you would like to live in

No. You should only buy a house in a neighborhood you want.

Poor what?  Poorly behaved children?  Poorly behaved adults?  Poor sense of community?  If you are talking about financially poor neighborhoods I would think the budget you have for a house would clearly answer your question.

Instead of saying "no poor neighborhoods" do some research find out the "richer" areas and tell her you want to look at houses in those areas

Your budget will tell them if you are in the poor neighborhood or not.

Give the price range of neighborhoods you're looking in. It's pretty normal to have a range.
