I've been finding a few of these downstairs in our garage and finished basement. Any ideas?

 Just your ordinary ground beetle.

It's a beetle. I don't know what kind. We have those out in our yard in the general area of the fire pit.

Just a little water beetle/water bug. Not a roach or bedbug. They are very crunchy, I hate stepping on them.

Eta seal off your garage, and the garage door going inside with weather stripping, and check your window seals. If they are coming in it won't be long until other pests join in.
