Cut out naps?

Dd will be 2 next week. I switched her to a day bed and she now wakes up at 7am. I would like her to sleep till at least 830 or 9am. I work till 1130pm. Get home midnight and by the time i am in bed it is 130am. I know maybe a lot of you ladies would be fine with that amount of sleep but i am not. Im having a hard time mid day staying awake (i dont drink coffee or energy drinks).
She takes a 2hr nap each say. 1pm to 3pm.
Should i cut it out? Only do 1hr naps?

She still needs to nap at that age, maybe try cutting it to an hour or putting her to bed later?

Cutting naps never changed my kids' wake up time.

My 3 year old still takes 2-3 hour nap if we're home. Goes to bed around 9 in the summer and is up between 7-8am. If he doesn't have a nap, he can still go to bed at 9 or even later and still wakes up between 7-8am.

You could try it and see what happens...

Sleep begets sleep. Don't cut out naps.

I'd like my kids to sleep until 9, too. They never have. It's been 9 years. Good luck.

A child of that age still needs naps. It is what is biologically best for her. Figure out another way to get her to sleep later but cutting out naps isn't healthy for her at this age.

She needs naps. You could try making her bedtime later but she'll probably still wake up that early. Kids just wake up early. Sorry...

If she is taking a long nap.. she needs it. I would not cut it out..

Maybe nap with her. I do it with my baby.

Some kids have wake up times and there is nothing you can do about it.

I took naps at that age because they wouldn't go to bed at night, it didn't make them wake up later.
