Women, who consider themselves victims, demand the pharmaceutical.
Mónica León del Río, representative of the Reconstruando Esperanza Association, made up of 756 women
and girls who say they are victims of the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine,
explained that in the demand for $ 490,000 million against the pharmaceutical multinational
Merck Sharp & Dohme Declare this vaccine with Gardasil as "unsafe".
"The group action essentially seeks compensation for damages caused by the vaccine primarily in
the immunological and neurological system, and is requested to declare the vaccine unsafe,
and this will be one of the most important discussions, and That the adverse effects produced are
greater than safety, "said the lawyer in dialogue with El HERALDO.

In the group action, filed last Friday before the Civil Courts of the Bogota Circuit, it is requested that "through the procedure established by law, order the pharmaceutical company to pay compensation to each and every member Of the discriminated group, for the damages and material and moral damages caused by the application of the vaccine manufactured by said pharmaceutical.

Leon said that the damages are valued at $ 490 billion. And according to the jurisprudence, for material damage, loss of income, damage to life, damage to life, relationship, because these are very young girls and adolescents who start their life and obviously by this disease are limited to the rest of Their lives, and also by the fact that it is a population of extreme care and protection such as childhood. The lawyer also added that the action was filed for moral damages of the family group, since each of the families are affected by the complex disease and stigmatization suffered by these children and adults who said from the beginning that they were crazy. On legal actions in other parts of the world, the lawyer said that in the United States, where there are more than 51,000 apparently adverse effects to the vaccine, "it has not been possible to sue for a constitutional norm against the plaintiffs, which is a limitation against the rights Human rights and will be discussed. " But in Japan, where there have been similar effects to those of Colombia, an action of 76 victims was initiated. "And there the Ministry of Health did assume responsibility and this vaccine is studied and stopped being recommended," warned Leon.

The complainant added that girls in Japan suffer from severe neurological disorders due to an impaired immune system, which leads to immune disorders such as lupus, arthritis, scleroderma, encephalomyelitis, demyelinating diseases, syncope, limb numbness , Cardiological damage, orthostatic intolerance, orthostatic hypotension, generating in the minor the so-called "crisis", which, he says, resemble seizures.

About the vaccine, said Leon that has been manufactured by two pharmacies: Merck Sharp & Dohme,
with Gardasil and GlaxoSmithKline, with Cervarix. "Both vaccines have caused serious effects worldwide
and despite multiple complaints, in large countries have been silent, and have been branded anti-virus,
so the importance of this action, based on scientific concepts."
According to Reconstruyendo Esperanza, there are six deaths and 756 disabilities in Colombia allegedly
produced by the vaccine.

However, Elkin Osorio, Director of Promotion and Prevention at the Ministry of Health, told this newspaper earlier this year that the application of the HPV vaccine causes autoimmune diseases: "in some groups they have been suggesting This issue, but from a pragmatic point of view, its implementation is complicated since some people who have some alteration do not even know it, because their expressions occur at different moments in life.
