Do your kids do this at birthday parties?

Maybe it's just me, but this really bothered me. We threw DS a birthday party and my best friend brought her three older kids. I really don't like these kids, but DS loves them to pieces. Anyway, when DS had finished opening presents, my friend's kids opened all of DS's toys and played with them.... without DS. I asked them to please wait and let DS choose what he wants to play with... of course that was ignored. They actually managed to break one of the presents within a few minutes.  What are your thoughts here?

My friend wants to bring these guys to our gender reveal party in a few weeks for the new baby. I really wish she wouldn't.

Rude mom and kids. She's your best friend and you don't say anything?

Thank you. DS would NEVER do that.

They are jerks and that's why we don't open presents at parties,

That wouldn't be okay with me at all.

Where were you when that was all happening?  Where was the mother of those three boys?  You all just sat around and watched it going down?  Where was your ds?

Nope, my kids don't do that and my rule foe birthday presents is that the birthday boy/girl gets to play with them first. We usually put them up until after the party though.

Dude I'm so glad that my best friend allows me to punish her son when at my place.

No, I started taking some of the toys away. One of them started getting into another toy and my grandfather gently asked the kid not to get into it. When he ignored him, I snatched the box and said: "We're not going to open any more toys right now". I didn't know how to say anything to my friend without coming across as super bitchy.

Well... that's not a terrible idea. Can your kids unwrap them at least?

Rude. And I thought it's nearly a rule to not open the gifts at the party.
