Thank you gift on a budget

My mother helps us out a lot. My brother has made a career of being in jail. He's in again. And she had to say no to some help I asked for. She feels like she's failed as a mother and wishes she could help more. I need to show her she's not a failure, that she helps out so much, and that it is greatly appreciated. My budget is tight. Maybe $10-15. I'm getting a card and mailing it to her. She lives in town but I'd like her to get that momentary happiness at something besides bills in the mail. What else can I do, any suggestions?

ETA thank you, ladies. I'm going to save money from he card and write her a letter. And take the money and see how many red roses I can get. Thank you!

Hold on to the money, so she doesn't have to give it to you later.

A gift card, her favorite candy, and a red box rental code.

Should've been more specific. She helped with dds school clothes but that's it on the monetary help. She's been giving a lot of rides because we only have one car and mine and DH's schedules overlap. And hanging out with dd a lot.

A gift card for $10 though? For some reason spending that on a gift is fine but seems super cheap for a gift card.

I hadn't thought of that. What does your mom like?

Does she like fresh cut flowers??

Walmart (atleast mine does) have an excellent variety of fresh flower arrangements. They're inexpensive too. I buy them monthly for my mom to show her appreciation.

I would just write a very heartfelt letter. If you really want to do a gift card, $10 really only goes somewhere at a coffee shop.

My husband brings me fresh flowers from wal mart but your suggestion means my mom is getting some next time.

Thanks

How about a fruit, veggie and herb basket?
