FFS she's only 10!

Dd started her period a few months ago. She's telling me she's currently on day 15 (she thinks) of this cycle. I know she's been bleeding a while but like a 10yr old she isn't tracking them like I told her to. Either way we're quickly approaching time to see a doctor. She says it's average and heavy. I really don't want her having to have exams and everything already. She's just a baby and I damn sure don't want her on bc so young.
Who's experienced this? What did you do? Any advice?

Why should she track it? Who cares?

Periods are very wonky for the first few years. Maybe get a period tracker app for your phone and track it for her using it.

About that. Yeah. She almost synced up with me and I've been done for 2 weeks.

1. For health reasons.
2. To know when your next cycle should come so she is prepared by having pads with her.
3. To teach good habits.

I've tracked mine since middle school.

Seriously? For this reason right here. If she's having periods every 2 weeks or bleeding for prolonged periods that would be a sign that something could be up. I know it can be weird at first but eventually you want to rule out issues.

I think I will. I'm not trying to be all in her business but she's just a baby. I've told her it can be all weird at first as her body regulates. But when do I have her checked out? She's so tiny. She doesn't show signs of anemia though. Sometimes tired but no more than usual. Other days she's full of energy and she eats well.

Could she have a blood condition? Does she bruise really easily? Or extreme bruises for minor bumps? Bleeding for 15 days I would be taking her to a doctor!

So she knows if she's been bleeding for 2 weeks. Because that sounds like something to see a doctor about. She may be bleeding from something other than her period.
