Throughout history and in the present moment. There have been slaves of multiple races. Caucasian race, Native American race, African, Biracial, other races etc. A person be it light skinned, olive skinned, mocha skinned, or dark skinned/other skin color who was/is a victim of human trafficking has been a slave. In the past. Some races sold people of their own race into slavery.

Is there a follow up to that?

Or is this a spin off of something ?

Yep slavery has existed since the dawn of time, continues to exist today.

What's the point of this post? Is this about the statues?

Are you giving approval of slavery?

Yes but apparently the only ones that matter are blacks. They had/have it worse than anyone in the history of the entire world to hear some tell it.

The slavery that was practiced in North and South America in the time that was the Antebellum period of the US was particularly heinous in several ways, compared to other slaveries in history. The level of cruelty that was allowed (though not every slave owner practiced that level of cruelty, it was legal and allowed), the near total lack of human rights, were extreme, compared to other historic slaveries. Also, it was one of the only generational slaveries (being born to a slave mother meant you were a slave) and one of very few that did not have legal guaranteed exits of any kind (some slaves managed to buy their freedom from their owners, but there was no legal guarantee that this be allowed)

A common claim among apologists is that Africans sold their own people into slavery. This is true, but it makes my point, more than it makes the apologist point. The reason Africans were willing to sell others is that their experience with slavery was so different. Slaves were brought back from skirmishes between villages or tribes. They were incorporated into the village, and, after a time, were given their full rights as a village member, they were intermarried with and all this was IF the tribe they came from didn't buy their freedom back right away to bring them home. They had no concept of what the American version of slavery would look like.
