I don't know if my dd doesn't like her other teacher or a kid is bothering her, but she's getting another detention tomorrow! This is the third one! I ha e no idea what's up. Today is the start of the 3rd week of school. I'm tired of hearing "she doesn't listen, she won't pay attention." she's not stupid, she can do the work, but is bored in class.she's goid in the a.m class but not the p.m class.

Update Tuesday. She got in trouble again today. 2 days in a row. I was unable to pick her up so my dh did. He believes this teacher is a pushover. She told dh she was talked and wasn't listening. She was smiling and laughing about it. I don't see how it's funny. They get 6 different cards for class.

Green is good behavior.
Blue is a warning.
Orange is a time out, no afternoon recess.
Black is lunch detention.
Yellow is a phone call home.
Red is office referral/notify parents.

I have taken away all toys and such. She is only allowed to read. She is grounded for the rest of the week.

Maybe your DD actually deserves it?

I have no problem with the consequences, it's why it's happening. like what is going on, is a kid bothering her? Is she being bullied? Can she not hear the teacher? Something

Detention for not listening? How old is she? Sounds like a teacher problem.

It's possible but I feel something is going on. She wasn't like this last year or the year before

They get 3 warnings. Dd is 7.

Have you talked to the teacher about It? She should be able to pinpoint exactly what the behavior is that's an issue and be willing to work to find the solution.

Also, try talking to your daughter and find out why she is getting in trouble.

The first thing I did was try and talk to my dd. I will try and talk to her teacher tomorrow. I don't always pick up dd from school
