I use the GPS on my kid's phone to track their every move

If I pay the cellphone bills of my children, then yes, until you are 18, I will use the GPS in your phone to monitor where you go and when you go there.

I do not see where this is even an argument but in my family it has been.

I feel that it is the right of a parent to monitor a kid's cellphone GPS and even his or her driving if it is your car or you bought them a car.

If my kids are out after hours, I want to know why, where and what they are doing. If they tell me they are going somewhere, I want the ability to verify that is where indeed they are going.

It shows you where they are going, not what they are doing or why.

I see nothing wrong with this.

And to think I didn't even know this feature existed!

I would do it too. Just need to get him a phone first.

If you're that paranoid and untrusting then you have bigger problems than where your kid is going.

I've never had the need to do this with my teen.

How did my mother survive without being up my ass all the time as a teen?

No, I have no interest in knowing their every single move. If I had a suspicion that they were upnto no good, I might check GPS, but I found just showing up where they said they'd be much more enjoyable.
