Do you? Or doesn't the school 'allow' it?

No. I think kids education comes before vacations. There are enough breaks and days off to go on vacation.

We have missed a day for an excursion about 2 or 3 times so far in all of the years of school.

Nope, Our schools do breaks around holidays already so I don't see a point in keeping her out unless an emergency happens.

Depends on how often. Skids miss maybe 2-3 days/year to honor the court order. Nothing like 2 days a month or anything crazy.

BM takes them out of school for some stuff every now and then but it's not every month or every year even.

Our kids miss school the day before Thanksgiving every year for travel.
