I'd call first and ask for some advice

I would.  My first thought was bursitis.  But it is well below your knee.  If it is bursitis, the doctor will drain the fluid for you and give you a shot of cortisone to help with the inflammation.

Only you know your own body, love.  It it's hurting you, and I can see the slight swelling, then you should go.

Good luck!
