If your husband was late getting home.....

Situation:

Your husband went to drop your child off at a friend's house and the trip should only have taken 5-10 minutes. You realize that you are out of tea and call to see if he can pick it up. His phone rings from inside the house. Over 40 minutes pass and then he arrives happy as can be. You ask where he went and he tells you that he went to get gas and saw a guy wandering around the parking lot trying to find someone to drive him to a doctor. He decided to pick the stranger up at the gas station and drive him to where he wanted to go.

What would your reaction be to your husband announcing (in front of your other children) that he picked up a hitchhiker? (He didn't even have his phone with him in case of an emergency.

What were you thinking? Why didn't you ask the gas station attendant to call 911?

I used to meet my SO in public parking lots when he would drop his dd off at friends houses. Back when we were both still married to other people. We'd meet up for 20-30 minutes so it wouldn't seem too suspicious and could easily be explained away. (Got stuck at a train, lost track of time at walmart, picked up a hitchhiker...)

Just saying.

It doesn't sound like an emergency situation. It sounded more like the dude needed a ride to a doctor's appointment.

I would tell him that was a pretty risky thing to do...

Clearly he's a cheating bastard and you should divorce him today....after you snoop through his phone and hack his email and create all manner of naughty scenarios from the vague and, probably unimportant, content you unearth.
