So I may or may not have forgotten a bunch of diapers in a wet bag. For like....3 weeks. They're pretty stained up. I did my first wash with 2 cups of bleach, 1 scoop of dreft, 1 scoop of oxi, and 2 caps of calgon. I let it soak about 10 minutes in cold and then washed in cold with one cold rinse. It got the lighter/older stains out. But I have a few that are pretty badly stained still.

So now I have them soaking in cold water, 2 cups of bleach, 1 scoop of dreft, 1 scoop of oxi, and 2 caps of calgon. How long should I let them soak? One of my best hemp prefolds is stained red, I'm assuming from sitting so long.

Lay them in the sun wet. Stains come right out.

Yeah I'm going to do that Monday when the sun reappears. It's raining like crazy here this weekend. I was hoping to get them mostly out before that though.

I would chunk them, but I don't do poop anymore.

bleach will only further break down the material....better off using a live bacterial enzyme to clean them

Damnit. Hopefully they don't fall apart. They're just inserts and prefolds.

My mental images are probably way worse than the actual scene.
