For women who are CLOSE to their parents...

Do you tell them you love them?
DH thinks it's weird I don't and always tells me "tell them you love them". But I never do. Idk why I grew up in a good, close family, mom says it to me. I just never do.
DH says it to his parents and his grandfather as well, which is suprising because guys usually aren't "sentimental" like that. (Or so I think)
My siblings both say it back to my mom, it's like I just wasn't hard wired that way

Every time we leave each other or hang up the phone.

Same with my aunt, and sister.

I am very close to my mom and see her multiple times a week. I always tell her I love her. Also when I hang up the phone. It's just habit. I love my mama ❤️

I don't. I remember when my dad was dying and I just knew it was the last time I'd see him. I almost told him, but then thought if I did that he would know I thought he was going to die.

I see my mom almost every day.  I love her to pieces but yeah I can't remember the last time I told her.  Must have been a child. We just don't say it I guess.

Occasionally. I often think I should be better about it, but I still only say it if it'll be a while before we see each other again. We're living with them temporarily, and I still don't say it consistently.
