Did anyone else practice courting instead of dating?

Did you use chaperones? How long were you courting before he proposed?

Did you raise your kids this way too? How is it going? We have 2 daughters courting at the moment. It's going great!

Absolutely not. I was in grad school and had been living on my own for 3 years before I even met DH. We then dated for 5 years and lived together for 3.5 before getting married.

I have no clue if my husband and I courted. It definitely wasn't dating either though.
