She called another student a "little bitch".  How do I get her to stop using that phrase at school?

Whoa. Did she learn the phrase at home, if yes then stop saying it around her.

It's ok at home just not at school?

She shouldn't be saying that anywhere. Tell her it's not okay? My five year old knows what 'not okay' means, I'm assuming yours does too.

Maybe explain why it's wrong, appeal to her empathy (how would you feel..), give a punishment and make it clear if she says it again she will be in more trouble both at school and home (be specific about home punishment)

Punish her every time she says it. And start watching what is said around her a little better.

Punish her each time that she uses that phrase.

Uhh... first off, dont let her hear it. Secondly, tell her it's not nice to say. Thirdly, if she continues to say it punish her. Whether that be timeout, spanking, taking away a toy she likes most, etc

She learned it from her older stepsister, I said it to her older stepsister, who is 7, because she spilled her milk all over the couch last week. Well, she said to the 5 year old when she broke her favorite cup because she dropped it.

Quoting marmie41: Whoa. Did she learn the phrase at home, if yes then stop saying it around her.
