It's no wonder teens these days are having sex younger and younger! Tv shows make it seem like it is so special. I am talking about tv shows geared toward teens. Teen couples are having sex and they make it seem like it is something special.

Oh, yeah, cause it's just THIS generation that's having sex as teenagers. (note the sarcasm, I'm 61).

Lol. I remember Dawson's creek that's pretty much all they did.

I don't even know what the current shows are.

Yah, it's not impossible to avoid kids seeing sex, but it's almost impossible sometimes lol

I don't think that teens are having sex any younger, and I don't believe that tv shows can influence it. I was a teenager in the 80's and there was just as much sex in pop culture then.

{{Shrugs}} I don't see it as a big deal. Teen sex is the norm to me. When I was in HS in the early 90's all of my friends and I lost our virginity between the ages of 15 - 18.

I didn't allow anything with sex until they were over 18.

Yes because when I was a teen I didn't watch Roseanne, Beverly Hills 90210, Party of Five...all those shows did the same.

The only difference I see between now and the 70's-early 80's is the girls arent being "sent away" until the baby is born.

At 18.....you dont "allow" anything. Theyre adults. Sheltering a child does nothing to help them.

That said.....I find the amount of sex to be off putting but I wont deny them to watch the "popular" shows for their age.......but guess who will sit next to them.....this momma right here. And we will have a discussion :D
