Toss Halloween.

That's the only part of this question I have a strong opinion on.

I don't give a rat's behind about Halloween or NYE..I like Thanksgiving and Christmas..at their appointed times...not months in advance.

I'd toss Christmas out.  It's become so commercialized - we ignore it, though if we had children living with us we'd do something for their sakes.

Favourite is New Year's Eve.  I love saying goodbye to the old year and welcoming in the new.  The Mohawks who live in the reserve located next to our town celebrate by firing AK-47s into the air.  It's one of our traditions to step outside with our beers and listen, and watch the tracers in the sky...

Christmas is my favorite and I wouldn't mind losing New Year.
