# And you are a manager, WTF...

OK - follow closely, I will try not to confuse you, lol.

Customer purchases 2 boxes of cat litter at \$ 7.99 each. Each box is given a discount of \$ 2.50. Customer gives you a buy one get one free coupon. You scan the coupon and instead of allowing you to enter the amount to take off, it automatically deducts \$ 7.99. Now you know that's wrong so you void the entry.

You call over a front end manager and explain the situation to her. After 3 times she is not comprehending the amount deducted should be \$ 5.49. Instead she keeps insisting you need to take off \$7.99. WTF this is math 101. She then asks, "wait who is asking the question?" She asks the customer, "are you questioning the amount?" The customer shakes her head no. She then proceeds to tell me I am wrong, and to enter \$ 7.99. At this point I look around for a head manager and no one is around. So I say to myself, "fuck it," and enter \$ 7.99.

She walks away and I print out a second copy of the receipt. I take the coupon and the receipt and I set it aside. I see one of the head managers, tell her what happened and she talks to the front end manager. After about 3 minutes the idiot finally gets it and is obviously mad at me. Oh well too bad. I'm not going to bite the bullet because you are a fucking idiot, smh.

Youโ€™re calling someone an idiot? Fix your title before calling anyone that LoL.

Walmart usually auto deducts the full amount from a coupon. None of the managers or cashiers are supposed to "fix it".

Honestly, sounds like a lot of wasted time over a few dollars.

Yeah you are just as smart as the front end manager.

The coupon did auto dedcut the full amount. But if you understood what is posted \$ 2.50 came off of the full amount. So in reality the customer was only charged \$ 5.49. So you have to "fix it" or the cuatomer pockets the \$ 2.50.

Publix did, too, when I worked there. They are going to collect the full amount for the coupon, so the savings should be passed to the customer.
