Have you heard about this? Librarian turned down and mocked donation of Dr. Seuss books from first lady for National Read a Book day. Claimed Dr. Seuss was not good for kids and was racist.

Do you agree with librarian?

The librarian is  a hypocrite through & through, it's exactly how many people are and that is why you didnt get any responses for hours. They can't belittle  the way themselves act.

no, but i'm educated and know the real definitions of "racist" & "racism".  Clearly the librarian doesn't.

Dr. Seuss was a POS person but a great author.

He cheated on his dying wife and then married his mistress.

Dr. Seuss was no doubt a racist. That doesnt make his books horrible though

I thought they used the Sneeches story to teach anti racism to kids?

A lot of adults just won't leave politics out of it.

The librarian is entitled to her opinion. Dr.Seuss drew and wrote a lot of racist propoganda against the Japanese. He apologized for it years later and admitted to his racism, but whether or not someone wants to accept that apology is up to them.
