Working at Walmart

I've seen posts on here where people make fun of or talk badly about people who work at Wal-Mart or other big retail chains.

I work at Wal-Mart preparing some of the hot food.

I get a decent wage and benefits to support my kids and I.

I don't see what's wrong with working where I work. Why is there a stigma? No, I didn't go to college but I can support my two kids and I.

Edited to add: my son is really embarrassed that I work there. I think his dad might be telling him to feel that way.

So for career day he asked his dad to come in instead because he's an attorney.

There’s no shame in working to support your family. Even if it’s Walmart

I think it's an honest job and people work very hard as it always seems pretty busy and crowded, we have two in our town, so more power to you sister!

You have a job, it more than a lot of these women can claim.

I don't really have any opinion about people who work at Walmart.

I didn't think so but one of my kids is ashamed I work there. I think his dad has been saying things about me not being educated. Oh well I guess.

I'm thinking about going up there to drop off my resume in the pharmacy department. I'm a pharmacy technician and just renewed my certification. I worked at Rite Aid for a year and didn't like it at all.

My son is ashamed that I work there. He didn't want me to come to career day so he asked his dad instead which was okay. His dad is an attorney and much smarter than I am.

A job is a job. I couldn't care less what people think.
