Om planning on taking dd and her 2 best friends to the indoor water park hotel for dds birthday.

One girls mom said absolutely with no hesitation.

The other girl can come w me after school, drive an hr to the hotel w me, stay at the water park for a bit but has to be home at 530.
I can then pick her up again at 6am.

The reason? Her parents need her to watch hwr younger brother while they get drunk.

The parents expect you to leave the water park to drop their kid off and then pick her back up again in the morning?!?  They're nuts.  If they don't want their child to spend the night (for whatever reason) they can do the driving back & forth.

If they are handling the transportation, I would be happy to have one less kid to say go to sleep, to, 40 times. ! Lol

Sucks for the kid though.

That is shitty. My son never plays with his best friend anymore because she has to watch her 4 yr old brother all the time. She's only 9.

Sucks for the kid, but I wouldn't drive out to pick her back up in the morning.  That would be two hours driving and she would only wind up with a few hours at the park.   Do they expect you to carry her home by 5:30 as well?  Another 2 hours driving?  No way.  I would just tell her, "Sorry, maybe next time".

That's a stupid thing for them to admit to. Poor kid.
